Affiliate Programme Terms

1. The programme

Approved affiliates promote More Techies Academy courses, bundles and More Techies Plus and earn a commission on qualifying sales made through their referral link or code. You take part as an independent promoter. You are not our employee, agent or partner, and you cannot make promises or sign agreements on our behalf.

2. Applying and approval

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
• Give accurate information on your application. We review every application and may approve or decline it at our discretion, without having to give a reason.
• You can only promote after you are approved. Approval gives you an Academy account where you sign in with your email and a password you choose.
• You may be both a learner and an affiliate on the same account.

3. How referrals are tracked

• Your referral link stores a cookie in the visitor's browser for 30 days. If they buy within that time you are credited, unless another affiliate's link was used more recently.
• Your referral code can be typed at checkout. A code typed at checkout takes priority over a link cookie.
• Tracking depends on the visitor's browser, device and settings. We cannot guarantee that every referral will be recorded, and our records decide what is credited.
• You are not credited for purchases you make yourself, for your own account or email, or for purchases we reasonably believe are made on your behalf.

4. Pricing and discounts

Customers pay the price we list at the time, including any promotion we are running publicly. Your link and code do not give the buyer a discount. You may tell people about a promotion while it is running. You must not create, guess, change or share discount codes of your own, offer your own discounts or refunds, or say a price or offer that we are not running.

5. Commission

• The standard commission is 20% of the amount the customer actually paid for the order, after any discount and not counting refunded amounts. We may set a different rate for a particular affiliate, course, bundle or for More Techies Plus. The rate that applies is shown in your dashboard, and a change applies to sales made after the change.
• Commission is calculated in the currency the customer paid in.
• For More Techies Plus, commission is earned on a customer's first Plus purchase only, not on renewals.
• No commission is earned on free orders, fully discounted orders, manual enrolments we create, or orders that are not paid.
• Commission on a sale is cancelled if that sale is refunded, reversed or charged back. See our Refund Policy.

6. Hold period and payment

• New commission is held for 7 days to allow for refunds and payment checks. After that it becomes payable unless we are reviewing it.
• You can ask for a payout when your payable balance reaches the minimum, currently ₦10,000 for Naira commission and $20 for US Dollar commission.
• We pay Naira commission by bank transfer to the Nigerian account in your payout details. We pay US Dollar commission by a method we agree with you, such as bank transfer. Payouts are normally made on a regular schedule after you request them.
• You are responsible for giving correct payout details and for any tax you owe on what you earn. We are not responsible for delays caused by wrong details or by your bank.
• If we paid commission on a sale that is later refunded or found to be invalid, we may deduct it from future payouts or ask you to repay it.

7. What you must not do

• Spam, including unsolicited bulk messages, and posting links where they are not welcome.
• Make false, misleading or exaggerated claims, such as guaranteed jobs, guaranteed income, or fake reviews or testimonials.
• Pretend to be More Techies, or imply that we endorse you, beyond being an affiliate.
• Buy through your own link or code, or arrange for friends, family or fake accounts to do so, to earn commission.
• Use paid search ads on our brand names or misspellings, set up lookalike websites, or publish our content as your own.
• Use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden redirects, incentives for clicks or bots to generate referrals.
• Publish coupon or discount codes that we have not issued, or post on coupon or deal sites without our written permission.
• Promote in ways that are unlawful, hateful, adult or harmful.

You must clearly disclose that you earn commission when you promote us, in the way the law and the platform you use require.

8. Marketing materials

We provide banners, posts, course descriptions and other materials in your dashboard. You may use them only to promote More Techies Academy through the programme. They remain our property and you must not change them in a way that misrepresents us. We may update or remove materials, and you must stop using material we withdraw.

9. Fraud and enforcement

We monitor referral activity. We may hold, refuse or reverse commission, and suspend or end your account, if we reasonably suspect a breach of these terms or fraudulent or abusive activity. This includes self-referral, refund abuse and unusual spikes of orders from one device or network. We may ask you for information to review a case.

10. Ending your participation

You can stop at any time by telling us. We can suspend or end your participation at any time. Commission already earned on valid, unrefunded sales stays payable after the hold period and minimum payout, unless it was affected by a breach of these terms. When you leave you must stop using our materials and links.

11. Your data

We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy, including the details on your application, your referral activity and your payout details.

12. Liability

We provide the programme as it is and do not promise that you will earn any particular amount. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost earnings or indirect losses, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the programme is limited to the commission you have earned and not yet been paid.

13. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms or the programme, including rates, the hold period and minimum payout, by publishing the update and telling affiliates. Changes apply to sales made after they take effect. If you continue to promote after a change you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
